Once per month, typically on a Thursday Evening, the Very Rev. Canon Barbara Price leads a meeting of members from various congregations throughout Orleans, Genesee and Wyoming Counties.  Any and all members of Christ Church are invited to attend the discernment group that includes ourselves, and many of the other Parishes in the Genesee Deanery. Meetings are typically held at St. James in Batavia. If you would like to attend, or simply find out what happens at these meetings, please contact Father Chris or Kevin Doherty. This group is trying to brainstorm new ideas on how we can make our congregations more vibrant, visible in the community and in cooperation with each other to proclaim God's word as a unified group of churches. We have made a commitment to pray about the following matters:

Gracious and loving God;

-Show us what new life might look like.
-Help us to accept and be conscious of our fears, and not be          overcome by them.
-Help us to see how we are blessed already, and how we can build on those blessings.
-Open peoples' minds to accept new ideas and give us the courage to act on them.
-Heal us of our blinded sight.
-Show us our need(s) for healing and reconciliation.

If you would like to join us or want more information, please see Father Chris O'Connor or Kevin Doherty. Please also help us by praying for the items listed above daily.

If you are looking for a warm, friendly group of small town people who truly care about one another, this is the place for you! We are a committed group of individuals that try to live out our Baptismal Vows; one being that we respect the dignity of all human beings. At Christ Church we uphold the concept that The Holy Communion is the Lord's Table, not ours, and "All Are Welcome!"

We really mean it when we say "Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith, you are welcome here, to share in the blessings of God given so freely"

We're Glad You're Here!!
