If you are looking for a warm, friendly group of small town people who truly care about one another, this is the place for you! We are a committed group of individuals that try to live out our Baptismal Vows; one being that we respect the dignity of all human beings. At Christ Church we uphold the concept that The Holy Communion is the Lord's Table, not ours, and "All Are Welcome!"

We really mean it when we say "Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith, you are welcome here, to share in the blessings of God given so freely"

We're Glad You're Here!!

Community Kitchen feeds big crowds

Albion site would like bigger freezer, money for supplies

R.J. Bannan stopped by the Community Kitchen at Christ Church in Albion on Friday. Elder Brian Houskeeper of the Mormon Church volunteered as a server.

ALBION – For 20 years Christ Church has been home to the Community Kitchen, providing hot meals on Fridays to local residents.

R.J. Bannan has been a regular at the site for more than a decade. He praised the volunteers who cook and serve the meals every week.

“It’s excellent food and the people are friendly,” Bannan said Friday evening. He sat down and ate the chicken casserole dinner, and went back for two desserts of cherry crisp.

Thank you to Tom Rivers for this informative article!

The Annual Christ Episcopal Church meeting was held on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Kevin Doherty and Jim Theodorakos were elected as Wardens; Kevin for a two year term and Jim for a one-year term. Vestrypersons elected to a three-year term are Jan Cheverie, Faith Smith and Dee Wolfe. In addition, Lorraine Musacchia will serve the remaining one year on the open Vestry position, created by Jim Theodorakos' election as Warden. Thank you to all who attended and participated in this yearly event.

Pledge envelopes are available in the back of the Church. Number assignments were carried over from 2013. If you did not have envelopes in 2013 and would like them this year, please contact Kevin Doherty or leave a note for him in the mail slot opposite the office downstairs.

Discernment and Direction Committee Members Needed

Canon Barbara Price, who has been working with the Vestry and Warden on a more permanent clergy arrangement for Christ Church, would like to meet with a small but dedicated committee on discernment and direction. This is not a lifetime commitment, but will be for more than a single meeting. We expect evening or Saturday sessions, either here or at another Genesee Deanery church.

There may be conversations with Canon Price alone or with similar committees from other congregations in the Genesee Deanery (Orleans, Genesee and Wyoming Counties). Committee make-up is not limited to Vestry members. Please contact Kevin Doherty.
